Just like that, it’s all over.

Time for a nice break before the new season starts later in the summer.

It’s been a pleasure. You’ll get more Scotland reaction and highlights on the BBC Sport site soon.

Take care.

More from Scotland head coach Steve Clarke: “It’s not really a feel-good factor because it’s still a disappointing camp. We didn’t play as we can play at Hampden, so I’m certainly going to carry that on.

“There was hurt and anger in the dressing room and hopefully we can harness that and take that into the autumn games.

“This Scotland team have shown how competitive they can be against [Nations League finalists] Spain and Portugal. We can compete.”

On Che Adams’ hat-trick, Scotland boss Steve Clarke adds: “I’m really pleased for Che. We know what he can bring. Strikers need goals, it’s been a little while since he got one. I knew he was desperate to score.

“He got an early one which releases the tension a little bit. I left him on because I knew he’d be desperate for that hat-trick.

“He gets an assist for George [Hirst] too which is big, we play two strikers and they both score which is nice.

“It’s not the first time I’ve [played two up top], its something we’ve used before.”

Scotland head coach Steve Clarke tells BBC Scotland: “I know my players, I trust my players, we’ve had a couple of disappointments, but they’ve always shown a resilience to come back and do what they can do.

“It’ll have no bearing on what’s going to happen later in the year, but it’s nice to finish this camp with a nice win.”

I think we go into the World Cup qualifiers in pretty good shape.

Irrespective of what happened tonight, there just needs to be an element of realism and calmness, which Steve Clarke brings.

I know, among the fans, totally understandably, there is despondency and to a certain degree negativity, but there needs to be a huge dose of realism about where we are.

We’re a good team, and we just need that belief.

Attention will now turn to World Cup qualifying for Scotland.

For some teams, qualification has already started. Five-nation groups have already played the opening games in their campaigns.

But with Scotland only in a four-team section with Denmark, Greece and Belarus, their opening game is not until September.

First up is a trip to Denmark on 5 September before another away game against Belarus follows three days later.

In October, Scotland host Greece and Belarus at Hampden before ending with the Greeks away and Denmark at Hampden in November.

Following his first international start, Scotland midfielder Lennon Miller tells BBC Scotland: “It’s a good night’s work, a proud moment to make my first start and to pop up with an assist is always nice.

“It’s always easier when you get that early goal, it calmed everyone down and we played some nice stuff out there.

“I thought we came here tonight and our application was second to none.”

On what’s next, he added: “I’ve got a couple of weeks off to come, then it’s back to it.”

The clean sheet is the big thing. It’s a credit to the backline. Ross [Doohan] didn’t have much to do, but his feet were fine and his distribution was good.

Scotland striker George Hirst tells BBC Scotland: “To get that first goal is massive for me, but it was a great team performance and very professional.

“It was very disappointing on Friday night, we had to look at ourselves, but the good thing in football is you always have another opportunity and today we had that chance to put things right.

“They made it difficult for us, it was a dry pitch, there were millions of excuses we could’ve thrown out there, but we played with the right mentality.

“It makes my running a little easier, sharing the workload with Che [Adams]. If that’s something to come moving forward then I’m not going to complain.”

I thought Scotland approached the game in the perfect fashion, they were bright.

It’s easy to get sucked into the end-of-season tempo being slow, I thought Scotland didn’t do that. On the whole, things were pretty bright and they were looking to get the ball forward in a good, controlled fashion for a lot of it.

You can’t ignore the fact Liechtenstein were poor, they didn’t offer a great deal in terms of being an attacking team.

I know they had a lot of players behind the ball, but it wasn’t as if they were incredibly difficult in regards to closing down and making it a real fight for the Scotland players.

I thought the performance on the whole was good.

You’ve got to approach these games in the correct manner, right from the very start, and I felt Scotland did that.

Rather than the slow build-up, they were trying to be more positive, more forward passing.

It’s great for Adams to get his hat-trick, it will give him huge confidence. And Steve Clarke too, who will come out of this with a smile on his face.

All round, the team and players played with a real tempo in the game.

Scotland hat-trick hero Che Adams tells BBC Scotland: “I’m happy to get on the scoresheet and help the team.

“It’s nice to score for Scotland, it’s not happened much since I’ve been here.

“We knew it’d be difficult, the conditions weren’t great, but we were very professional and our mentality was spot on.

“It was important to sign off this year with the win. We’re happy we put things right from the Iceland game.”

Che Adams becomes the first player since John McGinn against San Marino in 2019 to score a Scotland hat-trick.

A memorable night for the Torino striker.

Scotland respond to Friday’s mess with a comfortable four-goal win in Vaduz.

A Che Adams hat-trick and a first Scotland goal from George Hirst.

A hat-trick goal with the final touch!

Tommy Conway’s cross to the front post is nodded in by Che Adams, who completes a treble.

Andy Irving’s eyes light up but his shot is blocked 20 yards from goal.

That should be that…

Scotland’s June camp is “still disappointing”, says head coach Steve Clarke, despite Che Adams’ hat-trick delivering a comfortable friendly win over lowly Liechtenstein.

Clarke praised his team’s reaction after the 3-1 home humbling by Iceland, but the Scotland boss says Friday’s defeat means the feel-good factor has not been fully restored heading into the nation’s World Cup qualifiers in September.

After the loss to Iceland followed a disappointing Nations League play-off defeat by Greece in March, the Scots came into this friendly desperately looking for momentum.

But Adams made sure any angst about trying to break down a stuffy side ranked 205th in the world was short-lived though as he slammed home after just four minutes.

The Torino striker then reversed a lovely finish into the bottom corner to give Scotland daylight, after midfielder Lennon Miller forced a mistake on his first Scotland start.

After the break George Hirst anticipated well to turn in Adams’ flick to notch his first Scotland goal, after Anthony Ralston whipped a ball in from the right.

And as the action was petering out, Adams brought the Tartan Army to their feet when he completed his hat-trick by nodding in Tommy Conway’s cross.

Goalkeeper Ross Doohan cut short his holiday to join the squad amid an injury crisis in that position, but was mostly a spectator on his debut.

Now the Scotland squad head off for a rest after a long season, and the focus will quickly turn to the first World Cup qualifier, away to Denmark on 5 September.

“I know my players, I trust my players, we’ve had a couple of disappointments,” Clarke told BBC Scotland. “But they’ve always shown resilience to come back and do what they can do.

“There’s not really a feel-good factor because it’s still a disappointing camp. We didn’t play as we can play at Hampden [on Friday], so I’m certainly going to carry that on into September.

“There was hurt and anger in the dressing room and hopefully we can harness that and take that into the autumn games.”

Clarke gets positives before World Cup quest

With the mood around the national team a bit edgy, this game had the feel of a no-win situation for Clarke and his players.

Of course they had to win, but they needed a few more positives to come out of it than just that.

Clarke will be pleased to have got a few. Firstly, Adams scoring a treblewas a big boost given no Scotland striker had scored for the national side in a year.

Hirst also grabbed an instinctive first international goal, capping a decent two games for the Ipswich striker on his first couple of starts.

There was also the performance of 18-year-old Miller, who although the level of opponent was weaker than the Scottish Premiership sides he faces every week, impressed.

He was crucial in Adams’ second goal, with his pressure and then pass, teeing the striker up to give Scotland breathing space.

There were other flashes from him, too. Whether it was a couple of piercing passes into forward players, or one-two combinations out wide to get Scotland moving forward, he was in the thick of the action.

There were also debuts for Andy Irving, Josh Doig, Connor Barron, and Kieron Bowie.

Clarke said these games would have no bearing on how they start the World Cup qualifiers, but the Scotland boss will be grateful to be heading for the holidays on a brighter note.
