USA and South Korea met

It is noted that it is a problem to stop hypersonic missiles, which have a cruise speed 5 times faster than the speed of sound, by existing missile prevention systems.

Japan’s Kyodo agency stated that Japan and South Korea could face a “security problem” if “nuclear warheads” are mounted on such missiles.

The South Korean General Staff reported that a missile was launched from the Jagang region in the north of North Korea at 08:10 am local time yesterday.

The US and South Korea’s Special Representatives for North Korea, Sung Kim, and Noh Kyu Duk exchanged views on the phone.

Japanese Defense Minister Kishi Nobuo stated that “the item that appears to be a ballistic missile was launched from the interior of North Korea to the Sea of Japan without error.”

North Korea, which made its last test in October 2021, claimed that this missile is a new type of ballistic missile launched from a submarine.
