Man with knife takes two women hostage in Paris

In the statement made on the Twitter account of the Paris Police, it was stated that security forces were sent to the region after the man known to be receiving psychiatric treatment in the 12th District of Paris had taken two women hostage with a knife in a shop.

In the statement, it was stated that the police had formed a security circle around the crime scene.

According to the news in the French press, the person with the knife entered a store and took the store manager and his daughter hostage. The aggressor requested a meeting with Minister of Justice Eric-Dupond Moretti.

The attacker said that he wanted to talk to Minister Moretti about the Moroccan origin Omar Raddad incident, who was held responsible for the death of a 60-year-old woman in France in 1991 and was later released by then President Jacques Chirac.
