Tasmania Police Chief Darren Hine stated that 11-year-old Chace Harrison died in the hospital where he was treated this morning. Hine also said that the condition of the two children in the midst of the injured is critical, and that one child is being treated at his home.

Bystanders left flowers and toys at Hillcrest Elementary School, where the accident took place.
